Microsoft Compete Company Policy

Hello, Writing this on behalf of a friend who is in Microsoft. He is in Microsoft Azure and recently received an offer from Google Cloud. I heard that there is a policy that when we get offer from compete company our access is revoked immediately. But his manager has not revoked the access even after a week and he doesn't plan it to do it in next few weeks too. How do we get the access revoked? He doesn't want to work in the team because the work is shitty and manager is also shit. Please tell what can be done. Thanks TC: 20L
