Which company is currently with? How much is his current CTC? Which role is it in Msft? SSE or SEM or PM?
The role is SSE and his current CTC is around 42 lpa
@nkKa48 80 lpa including the Sign On Bonus? I also heard the bonus is usually 15% even though they mention it as 30%. So the 80lpa is considering 30% or 15%? Can you give a range for each of the components? Base, SignOn Bonus and Stocks
So, the TC from Msft is 70L, which is a good jump from 42. But, they can increase the stocks to 100k from 50k..I know some ppl at 10yoe with that TC range.
You are counting the SignOn Bonus in TC?
Yes 3L per year for 2yrs
Consider only 15% as bonus not 30%
Then TC will be around 65...about 50% hike from 44, but paying less just based on current TC is unfair...bcoz once u join they expect same performance from all 64s, they don't expect less based on TC
Do GitHub have similar level as Microsoft or they have different mapping for Microsoft L64? What's GitHub career ladder for IC?
What's the tech stack? My guess: I think it's Python. They r building tools for Development teams to improve integration with Git.
Many teams in MS r on old tech stack, as many products r very very old and they never cared to upgrade tech...and they call it's a tech company.
Seems low for tech role. Try amazon, L64 is high end sde2 i believe, easily 60 lpa+

How much of that is sign on bonus? And staggered RSU Vesting? No one wants to work at a sweatshop
