Microsoft is conducting job drives recently and I was wondering if anyone knows what the hiring process is for SDE? I know regular interview has 4-5 rounds but no idea about job drives.
Not sure what you mean by "job drives", there are hiring events where bunch of people are interviewed in one day to fill a bunch of SWE I and II roles. Usually they have an online tech assessment you need to pass to get invited. Best to contact MS recruiter. They usually active on LinkedIn promoting them.
Hiring events are usually 4 rounds through 4 hours back to back (10-15 min breaks for the candidate of course). There is usually a casual interview with the HM or HMs after which is a good sign (you're getting hired)
I received an offer from the last hiring event. I was reached out by a recruiter on LinkedIn. The process is OA (3 LC easy/med in 60 minutes) + onsite (3 coding, 1 system design). You are team matched to two teams before the event. If you do well then one or both of the teams may throw you an offer. You will then follow up with casual HM rounds.
OA is not necessarily LCs. Can be quiz style especially recently
True. One of mine was an easy debug peoblem.
Thanks for all your inputs
