I was with MSFT for about 3 years and left to join Amazon MSFT offered me a position to return to the org as a L64. Currently this is the offer they have on the table for me. Its within the CSA role focusing on Azure BASE: 180k RSU: 125k BONUS: No Sign On as recruiter said there was no budget from the team for it Location: MidWest Quarterly RBI 0-75% but trends around 30% of org goal (6-10k typically) Any thoughts on the offer? It's a step down from what Amazon is paying me at this time due to bonuses and what not. #offer #microsoft
Base and RSU are at par with other L64s, nothing exceptional, but definitely should have a sign on. You are missing at least 30K signon to make it comparable to other L64 offers.
Recuriter said that team I am joining doesn't have a sign on bonus budget at this time :( Not sure if that is true or not
Probably they are taking advantage of the market conditions. Ask for more RSUs then.

Before making a decision: prioritize if you are happy being at Amazon or want to get out. If you want to get out, then I would take that offer. If you feel like staying, ask for joining bonus at MS, and if they decline, be prepared to walk away. BTW, with that yoe, your TC should have been definitely higher.
