Microsoft L64 low ball offer
Interviewed with microsoft recently and got a lowball offer, with all refreshers my total comp is pretty high for next two years. Is Microsoft really expecting senior engineers to accept such low offers ? #engineering #software Yoe 10 Edit: Recruiter came back with 50k increase in total TC and I ended up rejecting the offer.
How was your interview feedback? This is not a normal offer on stock/sign-on. Base looks quiet good

Do not consider. This is way too low. Which org though? Once you join refreshers/hike are also low. That said, MSFT has been diluting the L64 level in the past few years

I am ex-Microsoft and I am telling you this is way low. And also SoFi stock has more upside. In general moving to Microsoft from SoFi doesn’t makes sense unless you are getting title and salary bump.
I hear the same things from other friends, slowly my hopes on SoFi stock is fading away made me to start looking outside.
Stocks are cyclical. Fintechs are down across the board. Tech is riding AI hope once that dies down rates comes down fintech will start rising. You need patience.

They will go upto 260-270K max … And 100K for 4 years is ofcourse not new grad as per microsoft .. Check levels fyi ..
