Microsoft L65 offer

Note: Im no longer at workday. Currently at startup This is for Azure AI team Recruiter started at 300k TC and on pushing back updated to ~350k This is on avg for offers in Redmond and was expecting better offer for the Bay Area. Rsu: 320k over 4 years The bonus 46k (20%) is expected and not guaranteed. The sign on(100k) is split over first two years. The offer feels like I’m being lowballed. Currently have no competing offers as I just started interviewing. Current TC: 230k + paper money #tech #microsoft #65 #principal

Don't join if you could land sde3 elsewhere

You should push for L66. Also stock and sign on can increase, especially for a two year sign on

Stripe zyrh26 Apr 4

What's the tc for l66?

Microsoft AzClaudia4 Apr 4

I got 200k equity over 4 years in 2019 as l63, I would negotiate on that number specifically. Base salary is harder to negotiate but your base looks competitive for that level. Sign on likely won't go any higher either.

Microsoft ItGonaBOka Apr 4

What level are you now?

Microsoft AzClaudia4 Apr 4

Got 65 last quarter

Workday XQlG33 OP Apr 4

@AzClaudia4 Planning to ask 600k for RSUs and 150k (over 2 years) for sign on. You think its reasonable

Microsoft AzClaudia4 Apr 4

400k is more realistic for this level, and I'll be surprised if they budge on the sign on. Best bet will be if you have a competing offer from a competitor (ex. Amazon)

Salesforce QToI01 Apr 4

Maximum they could go is 400k. Push for it

Wouldn't workday pay as much or more?
