My friend is a new grad and got a better deal. Base is fine. Ask 30k signing and 120k stocks.
This is awful. Before negotiating I had 118k, 30k, 130k as l60
I hope you are taking about Product Engineer (hardware) not Product Manager? Would you be comfortable share your profile ? (YOE? TC?)

of course it's bad. even people with zero experience get more than that TC. How did your friend perform during the interview?
The interviews went well and Hiring manager and recruiter seemed really pleased after the interviews. I think it's one of the cases where they are trying to low ball the candidate based on low Bay Area salary.
