Microsoft background check
Hello All, I accepted an offer from Mcsft and HireRight did the background check. Everything came back clean with the exception of two yellow flags since they had a very hard time locating someone from my College (Went to College in Argentina) everything shows "Meets Company Standards" but my college section shows "Pending Security Review" I provided copies of my stamped and certified college diploma as they requested it; but I was wondering if anyone else have had this happen? if so how long it took before it cleared out for a start date? #hireright #microsoft #mcsft #backgroundcheck #help
You’re good to go, also went to school partly in LATAM and got the same flags. It did take like 8 weeks to clear everything but there were no issues that prevented me from starting. Welcome to Microsoft!

Hi there! Were they able to verify your education background before they give a propose start date?
I also had a few yellow flags due to their inability to verify something. I got a "you are good to go" email a few days later. Don't worry, you should be fine.

Don’t sweat it. They won’t say you didn’t graduate (unless you didn’t). It will say they couldn’t find evidence. Your HW will override any issues.

My background check is completed by HireRight and now pending with Microsoft HR. may I know how long it took for you with Microsoft HR? Also I cannot see my report. Were you able to see the report on HireRight portal?
I’m in the same boat as you, can’t see the report on Portal and it’s pending with Microsoft HR now. I have no idea how long it’s going to take but I’m guessing since it’s Easter long weekend, things are going to be a bit slower

How long did the hr review end up taking?
Any updates? I have a yellow flag but report was sent to them, and am wondering around how long I can wait for Msft HR to review this to let me know the results.
Same my report was done on May 6th then sent to MSFT HR I was hoping it gets done today or tomorrow so I can give my notice soon The suspense is killing me and I am overthinking this probably
