just failed microsoft onsite and just wanted to vent. How do i get over it, cuz i am really sad
YOE? Role?
You avoided getting downleveled...so that's a positive.
Microsoft is overrated. I truly believe that the folks who work there are on drugs. I can tell you horror stories about my recruitment process on the MBA side.

It’s ok. So many things depend on luck. I tried for many years at many companies before getting into a FAANGM company...including Microsoft. Tips: - Go interview in other places and get comfortable interviewing. I can’t understate this - I nearly doubled my salary once when I prepared for Google and didn’t get it. I found out the smaller company I interviewed with thought I was awesome in my interviews. This gave me a LOT of leverage during negotiations. - Try at another tech company. - watch folks from those companies do interview problems. Gayle Laakman has some videos. See what your competition does - and compare them with you. Don’t get discouraged if you think they’re better...step up your game! - practice, practice, practice Good luck friend. I hope you get whatever is best for you.
Great advice
Thanks guys, I am cool now, gonna lc and chill now
It’s just like dating. You’ve gotta get out there and do it more. You then work up more confidence and will do a lot better. Unlike dating, though, one big thing is mock interviews (though mocks dates might have helped me in my 20s). Finding someone experienced in interviewing and doing mocks is a great way to get used to the format and will really help with the stress.
Hey my Microsoft interviewer got so pissed he left me halfway, so yeah don't feel bad
