People who like Modi, are you okay with your country’s leader using words like “infiltrators” for a community?
I interviewed at microsoft on feb 21st for a SDE II role. How long does it usually take to get a hire/no hire decision? I still haven’t heard back from my recruiter. The interview consisted of four technical rounds with behavioural questions at the beginning. TC: 🥜🇨🇦 YOE: 3
Multiple weeks. They took nearly three full weeks to get back to me. Not sure what the process is exactly for hiring but it's slow.
Thanks for the info. It makes me feel better knowing that it is supposed to take this long.
OP, can you please tell your interview process? Rounds(type of them) ?
It can take up to two months from recruiter screen to finished background check/offer. As long as the recruiter is keeping you up to date on the process you’re still being considered.
So I suppose it could be worth trying to contact my recruiter then? I did send an update email right after completing my last round but got no reply.
You can always send an email and ask for a time line on a decision. If they don’t respond you can assume you were not chosen. Microsoft recruiters are not great right now and are moving slow or ghosting candidates which is wrong.
Hey OP, I have the second stage - 4 interviews coming up this week. Can I DM you to ask some details about the interviews?
I had my virtual onsite a week before you. It took me 24 hours for the recruiter to give a thumbs up and schedule a meet with the team.
Aw man… I’m probably rejected then.
Hey man, you don’t know that yet. Have you messaged the recruiter? Or do you have the hm’s email? Wouldn’t hurt to reach out
I had my interviews on the 14th, still waiting.
Does your action center status also say "Scheduled"?
Yes.
How was the interview? If it was amazing then you will get an offer regardless of the timeline
Felt great honestly, but I guess you can never be so sure.
What kind of questions were asked in round 4? Open ended coding question as in?
Update: action center status just switched to inactive, didn’t get the job and no one contacted me since on site.
That’s a pretty abysmal process that Microsoft has taken. I’m sorry to hear op, appreciate the update
Any system design?
Yes, one round.
What did they ask you?
