What's the basis of this post
Did you remember what happened on dec 12th, 2012
The company participated in fomo hiring like meta and amazon by hiring 40k in last 2 years. It's kind of obvious there will be non trivial layoffs going forward. Nobody knows how much but if salesforce and meta can both cut 10 percent I am sure satya is thinking about the same but in smaller batches.
Except they didn't do anything of the kind because the majority of hiring was justified by revenue expansion and acquisitions. I agree that due to the macro economics they will want to cut some wasted costs but it's not because they overhired like other companies. It's because they are facing metric contraction.
Revenue expansion is done now and growth is going to decline on most products.
Hard to say, if it is indeed the 18th as rumored I would expect posts to pick in the MSFT lounge later this afternoon PST as more and more mangers find out who is impacted and meetings are scheduled for tomorrow.
Which team is getting affected?
No idea

I have pin pointed to this post as the first one. You have basically caused a shit storm. Multiple media outlets have circular referenced and eventually this is the source of truth and by the looks of it "Trust me bro". If this doesn't pan out, you have caused the fastest wildfire for no reason.
Seriously? Which media outlets?
Confirmed this morning by CNBC.
