Microsoft level 60 offer
Thought I’d share the final offer I got for SWE in Reston, VA for L60. Base: $130k Sign on: $15k Stock: $75k / 4 years Security Clearance Bonus: 25% annual Relocation: $15k TC first year: $211k (includes relocation) TC second year and beyond (including 10% performance bonus): $194k 1 YOE, and my current TC is $100k so needless to say I’m happy to be getting this new position! #tech #offer

What is Security Clearance Bonus? This is the first time I am hearing about it.
If you have TS and actually use it at MSFT you get a 15% annual bonus (on top of performance bonus). TS/SCI gets 20%, and TS/SCI plus poly gets 25%. A lot of work in Reston requires a clearance and there’s some out in Redmond
how long did it take for you to get formal offer after verbal?
It took 2.5 weeks. 2 weeks after the verbal I had a call with the hiring manager to negotiate it, and 2 days after that I got the final written offer. Good luck!
