I got an offer from MSFT L64 with this break down Base 200k Sign on bonus 40k Stock 220k vesting over 4 years Up to 30% yearly bonus Is this low ball offer? Current TC 330k Location CA YOE 8
Joining Bonus can go to 60 or 80. Other components seem standard and within band. Also, count only 15% bonus, 0-30 is the range, it wont go to 30% in real life.
Also 330 is mid l65 pay, so no way l64 will beat that.

Assuming 330k is what you're making now, this is lower than your current TC. Up to 30% is basically 15% or 18-21% if you do well in a given year. I wouldn't expect to get a 30% bonus pretty much ever.
30% bonus is 2x target which you're not going to get 15% is what you will get. This is a classic 🥜 factory recruiter strategy. Promise 2x bonus that no one really gets. Also MSFT refreshers vest over 5 years. At l64 the target is 24k I believe. Don't spend all of that in 1 place. MSFT also believes in tenurecracy. Don't expect that l65 promo for 3+ years. I would ask for 230k base. 100k sign on. 400k stocks over 4 years.

What you suggested is l66 pay. Microsoft recruiter will just ghost op.
4 years ago my L64 offer was for 50k and 250k stocks albeit for a lower base This was in Seattle BTW
