With performance review season amounts us, I’m wondering how folks are feeling about this years annual rewards? Will it be treated like years prior? I feel like those who get promoted this year will get shorted, do others feel the same? Or heard the same/different? I’ve heard from coworkers not to expect much (from different orgs, Azure, E&D, Consulting) in terms of promo or bonus given the current economy and msft seeming to cut costs almost everywhere. Manager said they might skip promotion due to budget cost. Bs to me
Most in microsoft never got that much reward to begin with so I do not think it will be that big of a difference. I do think that the package for new employees is less than before though.

I joined Microsoft last year around May, so i was not eligible for last year Rewards. After having the discussion about the rewards, i got to know that i have received 8% bonus and 6000 USD stocks. How does this reflect my performance ? SHould i assume my performance was not good enough ?
