Asking behalf of friend who interviewed with Microsoft for Software Engineer position last week and she just got the response they are willing to move forward but the team that interviewed her filled all of their vacancies. So they are going to match her with other teams, and they do assure they have lot of openings. She'll be eligible to join one of their teams for 90 days. But the big catch is they are asking her to wait atleast 45 days before discussing further. Did anyone get a response like this? It doesn't make sense to wait for 45 days to discuss further, and after that 45 days she'd only have 45 more days till my eligibility runs out. If they are finding other teams, would it take 45 days to give any update? Honestly, not sure what to make out of this offer. #microsoft #interview

The 45 days means that if after 45 days no match is found then another conversation will be had about moving forward. It doesn’t mean that it will take 45 days to find a match. Source: I am in the same situation and asked my recruiter this question.
Thanks! that's good news.
