Microsoft vs Tableau
Asking for a friend. Hi guys, I currently have swe internship offers from Microsoft and Tableau in the US. I’m confused as to which offer to accept and I would appreciate any advice. MS Salary: 7500 per month Tableau Salary: 8635 per month. I got the offer in the MS Azure team. PS: I’m an international student.
MSFT, because likely they give you return offer and help sponsor H1B/gc better
Tableau GC policy is way better than Microsoft imo.

This is true. I know a few cases!
We tend to make return offers to interns who do good work. We also sponsor visas. So prob no difference between Tableau and Microsoft on those fronts. I would pick the offer that puts you on the best team who will help you learn and grow. Having worked at both companies, I would pick Tableau but think you should optimize for team and the opportunity to learn and do good work. Good luck!
