Minimum yoe for SMTS in Salesforce
How many yoe is minimum to get an interview for SMTS at Salesforce? I’ve seen some profiles on Linkedin who are SMTS with 2-3 yoe in SF and Bellevue. I currently live in Bentonville and was looking to relocate to Dallas. I looked at MTS and SMTS profiles at Salesforce Dallas and people with 5 yoe got hired as MTS and with 8-9yoe got in as SMTS. Does this vary across locations ? TC: 125k in Bentonville. 2yoe #salesforce

I have someone with 3 yoe SMTS. Internally Salesforce promotions are based on merit. For lateral hires, they need to manage parity. So I would suggest, if you are confident, you will rise quickly after joining. If you are not that good, you will genuinely learn what you can improve on.
It’s easier to get promoted to SMTS internally. 3-4 years of experience and solid interviews/competing offers can get you that level. The expectations from an LMTS+ external hire are a lot. You need to either have a lot of experience or a high position at other companies. SMTS is a wide band.
