Backend Java based. Currently at Target. Like the company and work is generally interesting but getting bored and sick of being paid๐ฅ. Any recommendations on other places in the area (or remote) to look? Have heard mixed reviews about Chewy.

Probably look for remote companies/roles if you really want to increase TC. Also TC or GTFO
