How much is an elephant in India?
Serious question, when I was a kid I always thought it'd be pretty cool to own an elephant but since I am in the United States it would be prohibitively expensive to import and keep one. But since we have many folks here from India where elephants seem to be as common as cars, I am genuinely curious, how much would would it cost to buy an elephant? Would it be about as much as buying an used car? Also for those who have owned one, how much work/cost is it to keep one? Would you recommend it?
