Before all of this, I was a manufacturing engineer who was depressed and with suicidal thoughts. Then I changed my job to tech 9 years ago. Worked at one startup, apple, Netflix and now LinkedIn. Your happiness or self worth doesn’t come from external factors. I hope you get better my friend. Highly recommend talking to clinicians.
What you need is to look deep in your childhood trauma and deal with it so you can get rid of that constant and desperate need for validation. Truth is no matter what company you work for , you’re just a cog and you don’t actually make that much money and people literally don’t care because you’re too desperate for their approval and that’s unattractive .
Please exercise for atleast 1 to 2 hours per day. Stop eating crap food: candy, sugary snacks and carbs. Lastly, download the Calm app and start meditating each morning before you start work.

You should chase after a therapist instead
Nothing is more depressing than chasing something that you think will make you happy only to find out that it does not. I hope you find something. I’d seek out professional help. Talk to a doctor.
Been there; first of all, hang in there. This, as many other things in life will pass. Definitely seek out counsel and consider medication. This is a serious issue you’re facing so get all the help you can get. With regards to FAANG; my totally biased opinion is that it WONT HELP. I’ve been in FAANG for a while and it has only made things worse. I’d recommend: seek out help, leverage your company’s insurance, once you’re a bit better, break out of the constant TC ambition and instead go for something you feel passionate about. You’ll be happier. Best of luck and best wishes. I can share my experience if it helps; I was also suicidal, and I won’t say I’m out of the weeds but I’m much better.

So hard. I look like a potatoe and have the social skills of an anti-social potatoe. I stutter and don’t come off as a natural person. My anxiety in my voice can be heard more loudly than my words.
