What percentage of your monthly take home pay do you pay towards mortgage? (Don't count extra principal payments).
Will assume you are keeping in mind that there are various other factors to take into account, such as cost of living, income ranges / field, type and age of the mortgage, etc.
I have such a low rate (3.00%) I don’t care about my mortgage
Your comment makes no sense. 1M loan at 3% is significantly more than 500k @ 3% in terms of monthly payment 🤦🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
How is your rate so low btw? ARM? Or did you just secure the loan early this decade?
I include both my income and my wife’s income (salary only) and it’s less than 10%
Just mortgage? What about taxes and insurance?
I live within my means. Mortgage + taxes = $1900/month. TC475K. Bought back in 2013
Awesome. With that TC, 1900 doesn't even make a dent in your monthly take home pay.
Thats correct I save insane amounts of money and/or travel
I rent.

Just curious, what's your rationale for renting? Why not start building home equity instead of paying rent?
