Which is the most cheap a** company you have worked for or got an offer from, in terms of perks, TC, time off etc.... ? plz share ur experience too.
Early stage startups.
Amazon
Wayfair is wayyyy cheaper than amazon. We had an email sent out in early May telling business travelers they had to share rides to the airport!
Post is based on companies you worked at or those that provided offers. If that's essentially just FAANG, then Amazon probably would be at the bottom of the barrel.
Expedia. In terms of TC.
Yeah never understood why does Expedia pay so low when basically all other companies in Seattle area can easily offer 50% more than it, how do they ever attract people?
I believe it's about good work life balance.
LexisNexis
What in the world is LexisNexis
Company that knows everything about you and you don't know anything about it
Basically any bank especially if you work in technology. Technologists in financial services are second class citizens at their firms, so not only is the comp shitty but you're also viewed exclusively as a cost to be reduced. I think it's hilarious when people at tech companies like Amazon complain that they *only* get free bananas. Come to a bank and you'll be lucky if you get free lipton tea bags in the fucking pantry, let alone food and let alone competitive TC and RSUs.
Then why are u there?
I'm working on leaving
Amazon.
LexisNexis
Wayfair tell employees to share rides to the airport, need director approval to print in color, issues computers 5+ years old (engineers typically fair better but not always), don’t give any stipend for company phones even though you’re expected to use your phone for work (testing etc). Same benefits to call center and engineering employees in terms of time off etc.
That's is shockingly short sighted. Why?
Beats the hell out of us too
I worked for a midsize company out of college that didnt pay for interview related travel costs. Flew down on my own dime to take interview. I asked the HR person and it was a brand new concept to her.
