What are the most "stable" companies for Software Engineers during these times of layoffs and an imminent recession? Especially given that companies like Groupon, Yelp etc which depend on people going out, are laying people off..... Amazon is one answer, they are doing pretty well... What are some other companies which are holding their ground and managing to weather this storm?
Roku for the win
? Why you think Roku won't layoff ?
Cause Roku rocks!
Microsoft with a perpetual business and largest market cap.
What does it mean?
Layoff coming to Msft soon. Go join AMZN.
Are you disappointed that I praised Amazon or is that a genuine advice? I only said what everyone is seeing.
Amazon is definitely more stable than any other company in this situation.
Faang
Walmart
Layoffs happen at Walmart too 🙂
Defense contractors... safest place you can be
Uhhh... no. If your company loses the contract, you dont have a job anymore.

Ebay (I hope 😅)
This is true.
Salesforce has been pretty committed to no layoffs
For first 90 days, as Marc promised.
