Moved from CA to MA. How to find a CPA or EA for taxes?
Our tax situation is now more complex than we want to deal with ourselves. Has anyone else gone through similar and gotten a CPA or EA to do your taxes? How much did it cost? How did you go about finding one? My partner and I have moved from California to Massachusetts. We both have multiple taxable brokerages, hsas, 401ks, IRAs. Mega backdoor Roths as well. I have an ESPP. No businesses. We both work remotely for California companies. We have equity grants. I worked for 2 different companies last year. #personalfinance #taxes

Just going to live near family for a while. Eventually we'll probably move to somewhere warm again.
You can download an Excel spreadsheet of EAs as well as confirm their active status with the IRS.
If you're full remote why not NH nearby? Zero income tax.
Get Turbo tax highest tier and you can talk live with a tax expert. In my experience they are really good and can figure out very complex situations

On a funny note, few ppl may like to make things complicated, so as CA to MA move 😜 …they might have solid reasons though!
TurboTax pretty much walks through all the things OP listed. I find the biggest complications come from owning/selling properties in different states, kids, retirement withholdings, trading derivatives etc
