What are good places to move from Meta, to get comparable TC and better WLB current TC: 550K (with stock increase) E5 Looking for ~430k options with better WLB and similar level
Almost every role paying >400k expects you to work 40 hrs per week to do justice to your role and be productive. This number will go down as the number of years in the job goes up.
Not even 40, it used to be closer to 50-55 hours if including on calls and other adhoc meetings cross zones. Had to quit in order to get away from constant grind. Now work 25 hours for $340K much more happier.

Google still has by far the best benefits and perks outside of HFT/hedge funds. Where else do you get as many paid holidays? Where else do you get 80 hours of discretionary sick leave? Where else do you get 12,500 in education benefits? Where else do you get the survivor benefit? Where else do you get 85% base on STD? Where else do you get as much 401k match? Etc. etc.
Vacation is maxed out can't take it due to wlb Never used sick days No time for educational benefits Haven't died No std here. 401k yes it's good I mean it's not much better in 2024
