I have around 5 years of experience for some of which I worked in Php, some in python and some in Java. In my current role, it was mostly Java. I am being offered a new role in same company with a different(and much better/influential org, where I am closer to revenue generation) where the work is entirely in C++. They use C++ as they care about even a ms of latency. I have never worked in c++. I understand it, and have been doing some tutorials. But still not sure if it is the right move or career suicide. Please shed some bloody light.
Could be a career suicide if you didn't have prior Java experience. C++ work is mostly with system companies that are generating less money compared to pure software firms. If you plan to make this long time, your options could get limited in future. I work with C++. Most new generation companies use Java, Golang, Nodejs etc according to job requirements.

Generally it is not adviced. You can do much more in a comparatively matured eco system.
