Moving from medical device to tech advice?

Hi, TC: 135k YoE: 15 BSCS degree Software engineer in medical device industry working on super old technology, and not learning much, definitely not anything transferable. No innovation, just patching the same things year after year. Making penuts. I want to move to tech and need your advice please. 1. where do I start? I have CtCi and have looked on LC. but honestly I've been stagnating in my current position for so long, I feel lost looking at the problems. I've forgotten just about all the CS stuff and know nothing about the latest technology. I'm considering attending a boot camp, but I'm embarrassed, as I have a degree already and am supposed to be a professional. 2. How's the Wlb in tech? We have two young children and also take care of elderly relatives. Wlb had been great in my current company (that's why I've been lazy to move). If I want that same level of flexibly, should I just forget about switching? In general I just don't have much confidence to compete, not to mention I seem ancient comparing to most of the users here. Any advice is appreciated.

I dont think you will be able to make a transistion.. sorry to be a downer but BS with 15 years already over.. will hardly gives recruiter any flyin fck to give you a glance at resume.. The real deal of LC comes once you got a call and that too look weak for you.. these High earners are way up in the game and competitive edge. Oh and one more thing.. Are you republican voter ? Coz Trump wont help either..

No not a Republican. I'm not in the Bay area so hopefully competition is not as fierce? I've gotten a phone interview from Amazon couple years ago, but that was before I knew about LC, so I failed miserably.
