Moving out of Walmart labs
Hey blinders, I am currently working at a small sized company and TC is 135k (110k base, 5k so, 15k relo, 20k rsu over 4y) in socal Have an offer from Walmart labs and TC is 150(130k base, 30k so over 2y, 5k relo) I know the numbers are almost same and won’t make a difference. But I am inclining towards Walmart a little for location. My aim is to switch out of Walmart before dec hopefully (to join a dream company) Wanted to know how flexible is Walmart sw role and if I would get plenty of time to prepare considering I will have to put a lot of time at job in the beginning as well. Also does location or company name even matter for a switch? Thanks all you guys and gals in advance

Dream company is likely to be in the Bay Area so what’s the point of going to SoCal for half a year? If you have time to prepare at your current job, just stay and prepare.
