I may have an opportunity to move into a fairly senior (not executive) level position at GEHC. I was wondering what everyone’s thoughts are about joining the company now with the impending spinoff in 2023. Has there been any internal news about if benefits will change, payscales, etc.? I worked for GE mini mini years ago, and then just very bureaucratic, which I imagine, hasn’t changed any. to have been drastically adjusted compared to when I worked there before so not sure if this is a side effect of the spin-off?
Ty. Pretty in line with what I suspected.
Do they offer RSUs and Pension?
GE healthcare has said that it will keep the same benefits that GE has through 2023. So the unlimited PTO, 401k, sick leave, etc will be the same till then. I also got the impression that post 2023 the benefits are changing. They would not comment on what the changes would be but I’m sure there will be some. As far as payscales, I would imagine there wouldn’t be a difference in pay between the other GE businesses. Frankly, it’s pretty known that GE in general pays on the lower end of the spectrum. Ge is still GE. As far as the bureaucracy, it’s the same.. my advice would be to get as much money as you can get coming in externally because once you’re in your pay increases will be nothing to write home about. Work life balance is still good I think. Or least you should be given enough autonomy to manage that balance.. good luck
