My manager knows that I'm applying for jobs :(

My Manager and team knows that I am looking for other opportunities. I got caught when I was reading some interview reviews/ applying jobs at work. I shouldn't have done that but it happened. My manager started being rude to me, taking the projects away from me, team not including me in lunch invites, etc.. I dont have any leads yet to get out of here soon. What do I do now ?

Start looking. Never do that stuff at work

Well if this is how your manager and team are behaving, I think you should be happy that you have started looking!

You were on your way out anyway. Roll with it. Maybe casually start mentioning how you've "heard" company x gives killer TC.

No biggie. Now you have more prep time.

Hope you're not on a visa. Good luck.

Yeah you should. Not like they can just fire you. They have to follow the process - takes six months. By that time you will be gone.

That explains why you were looking for a job to begin with! Just pretend that nothing is happening, do your job as per normal, and look for a job (secretly) at the same time. If anyone asks you whether you are looking for a job, just say something generic like “I’m not actively looking, but a few recruiters pinged me recently and I told them I am not actively looking”. There is absolutely nothing wrong with looking for a new job. Good luck!

Attack it head on. Set up a 30 min 1:1 with your manager. Be open and tell him you are looking but would like to stay if if there is a path to keeping you engaged and excited. If your manager is any good or at all a decent person he will want to keep you. Unless you suck at your job...then he may just say good luck on the job hunt. Better to be open and direct then hide in the corner now he knows you are looking.

Don’t do this. You would officially tell your manager that they are wasting resources if they invest further in you. Your manager has also already shown that they are not a decent person. You will get fired on the spot.

Seriously man, how can people give these kind of advices...DON’T follow Nielsen’s advice

Forget about it and act normal. Don't concede to anyone that you are prepping and start leeting. There are a lot of companies that don't need a ton of prepping. You just need to work on 50-60 company tagged qs to get into companies like walmartlabs adobe realtor.com coupang. Try in those companies if you want to move out asap. As the above blinder said... say that few recruiters approached you but you are not interested.
