Anyone file N-470 to preserve continuous residence needed for citizenship?

I recently got my green card. After 1-2 years, I want to return to India for couple of years to be close to my parents, then return to file US citizenship at 5 year mark. I should be able to satisfy 30 months in US requirement, but will fail the continuous residence test as I will stay outside of US for more than 6 months. I heard I could file form N-470 before leaving to circumvent this issue if I work for US company in india. I will need re-entry permit too. I will be keeping my primary house, investment in US. Has anyone gone down this route? Would there be any issues getting citizenship due to filing of N-470?
