Blind has been very helpful for me, so I will share my experience with interviewing for NVIDIA. Currently I have finished 7 rounds, 2 non technical and 5 more technical for solution engineering position. So far the process has been smooth, and every round the members have been nice and helpful. Questions usually revolved around your CV and Experience (make sure you know those in depth) and have sound knowledge of everything mentioned in the JD (they will ask in depth questions and implementations regarding that). LLM seems to be the trend now, so for almost any position wouldnt hurt knowing about deploying and maintaining them. Still waiting for an answer, but even if I get rejected Im quite positive about the experience (also given the current market conditions). Good luck to everyone, and hope you all get what you're looking for! #interview #engineer
I do not see valid reason to have 7 rounds of interviews. It’s waste of everyone’s time. Ultimately same shit we have to do in any company
Same here. At least interview experience was ok. With FAANG interviews (Amazon, Google) Hr and interviewers also had an attitude problem , and seemed like they already had made up their mind beforei interviewing.
The companies I've worked for haven't done this. 3-4 rounds is plenty. Most modern tech interviews suck ass including Meta.
Google has been the most snobby. And the worst of it came from a 55 yr old black guy, 2nd worst of it came from 35 yr old white gal. Black dude wasn't even pretending to listen. Guy seemed like a village idiot. White gal was super sharp but she seemed to size me up in 10 seconds and voted no. 40 yr old apanese guy was very sharp and friendly no snobbery whatsoever, but my goose was already cooked in that series of interviews. No SE gig for me at google. No complaints either.
Sorry to hear that. All we can do is try to do better if/when we are in a similar position.
Yeah, I definitely get the impression that interviewers have made up their mind as soon as they see you. Pretty sad actually.
Same her OP. I had 5 rounds and each of them went really well but I’m still waiting for an answer… some people told me that it usually takes one month to get an answer from them.
Good luck. Hope you receive good news soon 🙏
Thank you!! You too 🤞😊
I had 8 rounds including one round onsite with the HM - same positive experience! According to the recruiter, many rounds are a good sign. If they don’t like you, they will stop after 1-3 rounds; if they like you, they really want to make sure to get to know you to see whether you fit in the company and its culture. Also, I found it a great chance to meet my potential colleagues and to see whether I could see myself working with them.
I've had two interviews at Nvidia somewhat recently, both were not great experiences. One the interviewer had a very difficult time articulating their questions and the other was just meh.
Ok guys, just returning to this to mention I was rejected. Appearently 2 weeks + is bad news. Wishing good luck to everyone else 🙏
Hey OP : Can you tell what was asked in interview ? I have panel round coming week ? LC - specific tagged question, System Design and resume ? Any tips will be helpful
Only 7? I interviewed at DeepMind a couple of years ago and had 10 in total, still didn't get the damn offer!
Gave my first round of interview towards end of October. Interview was ok, but didn't here back from HR. Thought I was rejected. Out of the blue, HR called me again towards the end of November to schedule the second round. It went well. It has been a week since then and no response from HR. Looks like I need to wait for another 3 weeks for the third round and 3 more months to complete the remaining interviews. If all goes well, I might get my offer by the end of of the first quarter of 2024.
What role did you interview for ?
7 rounds 😧
Yeap, unfortunately. Each 1 to 1hr 30 minutes
