Need advice for salary and level negotiation. Cleared the interviews(went great) and got positive feedback from HR but have not received the official offer details yet. No competing offers as of now. What would be the best/reasonable salary expectation to quote? Also, if i get another competing offer after the initial negotiation, Can i renegotiate the offer ? Current TC - 26L (including RSU) YOE - 2.5 years #hardware #interview #semiconductor #nvidia
For which role was this?
DV
Dont take it. Nvidia has terrible wlb and micromanaging boss. I cant get out because there are no jobs outside. Am struggling
You keep on complaining but never tell which team you are from or what location.
Why would he/she doxx themselves like that? I too have heard nvidia isn't all what it's cracked up to be.
Just curious what is the industry standard/average TC for DV with YOE=3 ?
That is the reason I asked
let them come back with initial offer and then give your nmbrs.
I want to be prepared for general offers in this category
base 27+ , RSU 20k dollar+
From what i heard, Nvidia will surely give RSU in the range of 50-70k USD
This is what level IC2 or IC3? And location?
Blr location. 2 of my friends got RSU in same range. I dont know the level but they had appx 4-5 years of exp
Nvidia does not do much negotiation in general and right now with the stock flying high it will be less so. Typically for new offers you can ask for a bonus or negotiate about the joining bonus and that's typically it.
Thanks will try on that too
That statement's not true for all cases. NVIDIA usually starts with a low-ball offer to test the water and work with candidates to come up with numbers that both sides agree.
Don't need to negotiate. They are usually generous. Negotiating is wasting Nvidia's money
Agree, Nvidia is generous
I really hope for that. Was looking for some numbers that I can expect and don't wanna be low balled
A data point of a guy that I know of who joined as an IC2 in July 2021, so a little over 2 yoe 21L base, 65 RSUs per year Considering 470 usd per rsu, that's around 45L This should give you a negotiating point
In 2021 it was hovering around 180 per rsu ..65 units per year would map to 50K USD for four years
No, their subscription price was 195 iirc It was reaching an ATH of that time
The data point I know of someone IC3 (3 YOE) Base : 23L Bonus : 5L RSU : 80K USD for 4 years
