How to prepare for NVIDIA interviews? I have given 2-3 interviews in the past for NVIDIA but I could not even crack their phone interviews. I always felt they have different process compared to FAANG. They pay more attention to specific skillset. Can someone provide guidance about how to crack NVIDIA interview ?#engineering #software
What is your domain ? Is it hardware, asic design or dv or sw?
It is software. The position is a bit related to AI. I started working on edge platform about 1-2 years ago. I just hope they don't stress too much on AI. I am comfortable with coding C, C++ , multithreading and OS concepts.
How to prepare for hardware roles? ASIC or verification
@OP: how did it go?
Can you please update us on how did it go?
NVIDIA usually focuses more on prior projects and engineering fundamentals, rather than forcing people to solve Leetcode questions in a constrained time frame. During my interviews I've been asked mostly questions about the projects I worked on (from my resume) and courses I've taken, and also practical questions about how I would approach certain problems or extensions of some of the things that I did. Of course, there were also some programming questions just to ensure that I knew how to code, but generally it's a lot easier than the standard FANG type interview. YMMV depending on the team though, but this is an internal NVIDIA philosophy too, to keep interviews more relevant to real work experience and not just make them Leetcode fests.
A breath if fresh air. Just talked to an nvidia hiring manager today. Not sure the role is the best fit but it was a fun conversation. We'll see if it goes further but it was a good impression.
Hi @djistar - that’s good to know any specifics of what coding questions that you were asked ?
