I’m in my mid 30s. NW hit 2 mm today. Don’t have close friends or family that would be happy, so sharing here. Don’t know what I am chasing. Life was same at 1 mm and still the same. Rat race never ends!! Stocks - 800k 401k - 400k Real Estate - 700k Crypto - 50k HYSA - 50k TC - Started with 85k. Now 260k YOE - 14 #personalfinance #investments
I'm doing something very wrong 🤔 315k TC but barely 250k NW. Maybe because I moved to the US only 3 years ago but it sucks to be so far behind.
It’s not a competition. You’re doing good at your own place and pace

Can you share your TC and NW by year? It is interesting that by making 85- 260K you have NE of $2m.
First couple years 85k -> 135k for next few -> 200k for the most part -> 260k last couple years. Did not track NW back then
Did you deduct your mortgage balance from real estate NW?
Yes. This is my current equity.
Great job. Did you make outsized returns in something? Seems difficult to make with $260k - taxes
No wife or kids?
Have kids, and wife makes peanuts. BTW: how did you assume my gender?
You said you don’t have family that will be happy? Does wife not count?
thats sad man, take out 30k, get 3 of the top therapists in your area and see if maybe the lack of connections comes from within
I’m an introvert and can’t tolerate bullshit. I do have friends, but we don’t talk money
o gotcha, but maybe that black and white thinking could be softened to find an easier life later on. Then again, dont fix whats workin eh
Spirituality is important. Since worldly affairs are in good shape, focus on spirituality and family to find inner peace.
Thanks for the suggestion. I need to work on spirituality and finding inner peace.
How did you get to 2M with 250k tc.
Making the right moves, at the right time. TC isn’t everything Meta
What moves did you make?
Start giving back to have sense of peace. You can start by giving me some , DM open if you need details to send. TIA
Hi, what’s your saving rate? Any suggestion how you save so much?
I try to save 40-60% of take home. Two years during COVID, I saved a lot as there were no expenses such as vacations, eating out, unnecessary consumerism etc
Ah so your portfolio went up a lot ha! Do you invest in indexes or individual stocks?
Keep it up!
