https://www.nytimes.com/2020/08/12/technology/personaltech/tested-facebook-reels-tiktok-clone-dud.html What happened to actual innovation at FB? Seems like all they do is knock off Snap and TikTok.
NY Times is biased towards FB since we took all their ad money. Newspapers were heavily impacted by FBs growing ad business. So yeah - they’ll try everything for you to believe that it’s a dud and for FB to go out of business and take all the small business Facebook supports to the ground. No thank you. 👎🏽
Haters gonna hate while we cash out our big bonuses 😂
Reels is dogshit imo , but it is new... hopefully we can move fast and get our shit together before everyone is bored
Also funny that amazon employee is talking about innovation where all amazon does is manufacture dupes and steal from small businesses on its own platform.
This cannot be true. 100s of services in AWS, Alexa, Amazon Go...? Private label retail is just a small part of the business and pales in comparison to other verticals.
There you go... it’s not just products. It’s also from tech startups https://www.wsj.com/articles/amazon-tech-startup-echo-bezos-alexa-investment-fund-11595520249
Yes because all a large company must do is innovate
I don’t think comparing a product just launched : Reels to a product launched like 5 years ago : tiktok makes much sense. Within a year FB can fix all the so called shortcomings.
Your sensible take doesn’t make people want to buy your paper though
How long did it take for IG stories to overtake Snap? Wasn’t it almost immediately?
I think it was easier to launch with little design and deployment. IG has a lot for products to feature. Finding the right space is where the problem lies. However I had this discussion with someone and feel like they will find a way to deploy it better
How has launch been?
The NYT is a boring company. Whatever happened to those well deserved writers that got pushed out of the company?
I mean, there is ton of innovation as well. AR/VR is a hub of innovation. Basically the best wireless VR headset to have commercial success in the market is a good deal of innovation I’d say!
Agreed
Sorry but Oculus is a joke. Lots of “innovation” but very little in actual results.
I didn’t use Kiktok before. I don’t care about it. But I do like to use Reels a lot.
oh wow, you're back again? I thought you were banned badgrrl, 6to9, etc etc. reminder to flag this amazon troll
Overtime, I believe FB will makeup for all the gaps and go beyond TikTok due to adoption, data and monetization potential.
