Take TC out of the equation. For work, would you rather live in NYC or Bay Area? why? weather? the ladies? career? culture?
If you’re in your 20s and early 30s, it’s NEW YORK definitely. Otherwise I’d say SF Bay Area
Why? New York is cold, Bay seems to be nice.
If you’re a single straight male 20’s to 30’s you’re picking nyc and it should be a landslide choice. If you brought your own SO it doesn’t matter
I’m confused op. Are we comparing SFO to JFK or LaGuardia?
I know, with all the flying I do , I started using the airport code as a shorthand for each city. I have it bad. Unfortunately I can’t edit the survey in blind.
I think PDX is actually a shorthand way of writing Portland though. Can’t think of another city that has this convention
Ladies + fun vs Career ops in SF. Pros and cons of each?
Burn yourself out in the bay and leave this hellhole after padding the accounts is my plan
If you're not disciplined about maintaining wlb, then I don't think it matters much. When I was in nyc, I spent all my time on work and looking for another job, so I rarely got to enjoy being in the city.
I've lived and worked in both NYC and Bay Area. If you're under 35 and male you are losing out on your social life by being the Bay Area. The SF area is single man's hell with a horrendous dating and social scene. Sure, you'll get better TC but you will never get your youth back.
I don't think NY is that colder than SF now. I just flew here yesterday and the weather is a tad bit colder
NYC
I’ve lived in both NYC and SF Bay Area (and Seattle). I prefer Bay Area mainly because of weather. I also like the relaxed atmosphere here and it’s cool getting most tech stuff first. I miss some of the NYC food though and things actually being open late.
Idk if you cant find good food here youre not in SF. I used to wish things stayed open later but then I turned 22 😂
Food in west coast is far superior to east coast
