Need a career break. Can I switch to tourist visa for 6 months?
I need some time to relax after 12 years of working continuously. H1B with I140 approved (I140 approval not at Meta, haven’t started my GC process at Meta and not planning to start it) Can’t go to India because family situation is not good and I want to stay “home” to relax, not go somewhere else.

Yes you can totally do it. Also, you can stay employed with meta on H1B and go on unpaid leave.
