Need help choosing

Hey Blind Team!! I am expecting verbal offers from the following companies. - Oracle, OCI Team (IC3) - Sr. MTS, Remote - Yahoo, Mail Team (IC4) - Sr. Software Engineer, Remote - Microsoft, MS Teams Org (L63) - Sr. Software Engineer, Redmond WA - Meta, Stuck in Team Match (E4) - Software Engineer -- pretty sure this team match is not happening any time soon. Currently interviewing with Chime and Brigit as well. Final loop next week. Can someone please help me choose one? Please share your opinions that might help me make a decision. I don't have TC info yet, but from what I have seen on Blind and Levels.fyi I think they are fairly comparable. There might be difference in proportions with base, RSUs and bonus, but I think I would be able to negotiate. My objective is to learn from good team and individuals, and grow in my career up the ladder soon. Haven't had any opportunities in big companies yet, so I am really excited about this. Please help me out. :) Blind Tax - 5 yrs, 160K #engineering #software #swe #career #yahoo #microsoft #meta #chime #brigit #oracle #oci

Lot of leetcode, and lot of reading on systems design, and a lot of stories build up from the past for behavioral rounds. :)

what if they downlevel me, should I still consider it? what about Yahoo? Seems like that is the most senior out of them all.

OCI for better career growth, Msft for better work life balance if team is decent

wow thats the first i have heard. people generally say OCI is pretty bad in terms of growth. msft - i got pretty good vibe from the interviewers about the org and the work.

Microsoft is easier to grow with good work attitude. People are pretty chill there, so easier to standout. You can get to principal level (l65) somewhat quickly and then either continue growing there if things go well, or cash out e5/e6 position elsewhere. The downside of Microsoft is pay, but good benefits regarding remote work, and good culture.

Thank you for the quick summary. Any inputs that you might have for others? Yahoo, or OCI?

Amazon principeng Apr 18

Yahoo seems like a half dead dinosaur. OCI is team dependent, similar to AWS. You could get useful skills there, but culture is so-so. And I’m also stuck in meta team match, so that doesn’t look like an option currently.

Man, how did you get so many interviews?

Referrals I think. :)

Oci terrible in terms of career growth, team culture and work life valance. Also there is extreme favoritism of certain ethnic group.

Microsoft L63 is clear winner overall. If you negotiate you can pull off 300k + TC. Plus with stock growth , your salary will likely keep increasing.
