Looking to exit Goldman, have an offer from S& for 240 base + 30% bonus. Been actively looking for less than a month, yet to look at tech and MBB opportunities. Yoe : Masters + 8 years Full-time #finance #consulting #offer
That’s a good offer. I would take it
What do you need help with?
That’s a very competitive offer. I’m a M at S& right now and am exiting to a tech role shortly. The one advice I’d give you is to think through whether you want to be in consulting or tech. Very different fields with different career paths. If you ultimately want to be in tech, just recruit for that now. If you want to be in consulting, S& is a fantastic place where top performers are highly rewarded.
Why are you leaving for tech?
you can move to tech after a while in consulting but probably not the other way around
Solid from what I have seen
What is S& ?
Strategy And No BS, check https://www.strategyand.pwc.com/
Around 10 years ago PwC bought the consultancy arm of Booz&Allen. This company was rebranded as Strategy&
Base seems reasonable but negotiate for at least 60k sign-on
People leave IB for consulting ?? That’s a decent M offer amount but seems low for your YOE. I’m a senior at 155 + ~15% bonus at 3 YOE, I would think you could do better or level up
He's likely not in IB. Prob internal consulting/strategy/transformation
Is there a difference between SM and Director at S&? Looks like you'll have a TC of about 320k, this is roughly what an EM at McK makes. Didn't realize there was that big of a pay difference between different firms
To have more context… Are you transitioning from traditional IB to traditional consulting? How would the hours compare between your current and new potential role?
