'Hindutva': The Radical Hindu Ideology That Seeks to 'Push Christianity Out of India’
Hi Everyone, I landed a job offer at Lockheed Martin for a level 3 Design Engineer salary. I have a Master's plus 2.4 years of experience at an aerospace competitor along with internships that make me meet the min qualifications. I tried pitching a salary range of 110k-118k but I was told I probably wouldn't even arrive close even though median comp for it hovers around 105k. Anyone have tips? I'm really worried about being low balled.
LM is super stingy when it comes to negotiation. Worth a try but for the most part, offers are final.
Update: got 95000. Any tips on how I can hit at least 102k?
Hmm counter with $105k and take what they offer? Do you have any other offers? I played hardball with an internal transfer recently and even though the team wanted me desperately, it got blocked by a VP in HR almost out of principle. They really don’t like going above median in the salary band
Is it possible to negotiate benefits? Old job accrued 3.333 hours of PTO / week. This one is only 2.5
That seems a little bit low. I am a level 2 Systems Engineer with 1.7 YOE (when offered) and my base pay offered was 90,000. I didn't really negotiate, but received a raise and bonus after a few months to get to 92,000. I would think a level 3 should be getting more.
What’s your location?
My daughter is an aerospace engineer at LM with 3 years of post-master's experience and she is in the $110K base pay range. If it helps, her pay has increased about 20% since she started with the company. These defense contractors work within a specific pay range and there is limited room for negotiation, although you can probably get them up a little.
