Cash is good, but know what % of the company you'd be getting with the options.
0.075% at 750M valuation
Assuming this is a series C or later startup? If seed or series A the equity is very low
What series? A/B pretty good - more rounds, less impressive
Unfortunately it’s a series C
Mid for series C - if it's equity heavy maybe still worth. If equity grant is bad, I'd pass
Is it 0.075 off of the total diluted shares or the employee pool ? I got tricked not asking that question and has believed that I got the bigger ownership piece that I actually had.
+1 the recruiter has incentive to be deceptive to get you to sign
Pretty high base in this market. Take it.
Why switch from google? What’s the Tc there.
Are you the same person who is debating whether or not to leave Google for 275k cash? I’ve seen this offer breakdown a few times. I’m not sure if the Googlers are interviewing for the same company or if it’s the same person 😂. As for the base + bonus. This is out of the norm (except for openai, anthropic, etc.) for start-ups, and it’s on the very high end. Not many start-ups offer annual bonuses at this stage. Feiw, the base is usually maxed out at 220-ish for your yoe.
I see this in our internal Blind a few times also and they seem to be around that range but different companies(hot AI startups, good funded growing startups etc). I guess startups have upped their game to grab desperate Googlers
Congrats
