Negotiating new grad offer from Bloomberg
I have a new grad offer from Bloomberg tc 170k, along with mts3 offer at VMware 220k and ic2 offer from oracle 230k. How do I better negotiate compensation with Bloomberg? I like the work culture at Bloomberg compared to the other 2 and I want to live in NYC

Ask for $20k signon bonus from Bloomberg and take it. Tell them if they give you that you’ll sign on the spot. But that’s about max they’ll be willing to go

By good, you will go from 170 to 200 if you exceed expectations. Nothing more.
$60k difference, some SWEs make that much in a year. If you want BB get in with high TC. Raises are ok, but $60k raise will take you 3-4 years or even more if you slack off

If you have 3 yoe 170k for Bloomberg is very low. I know many people with 1 yoe are making more than that
Ask Bloomberg if you can re-interview for a senior position since you have 3 yoe. I know people with 2 yoe coming in as senior sde and making >250k
