I'm about to be 28, leaving the company I started at out of college. 7 years experience total - 5 in various GL accounting roles from Analyst to Staff to Senior. 2 in Internal Audit as a Senior. I'm a hybrid IT/Business specialty where I understand both the technical and business aspects very well. I'm on a track to make Manager in 1 year or less. Located in Denver. Current base salary is 93.5K with $200K equity set to vest over the next 4 years that I am walking away from. Target company is already public and issuing RSU grants at my level only. I have leverage because the hiring manager is my old boss from current company and really wants me to help build the audit program as this company which has recently gone public but it not yet subject to SOX testing. In comparison to my peers at current company I am significantly underpaid in terms of base. The Senior IT Internal Auditor that is same age and experience as me is making $125K and not even close to being on a manager track. Another Senior Internal Auditor who just made manager was making $116K before promotion. I'm having trouble finding data because IA salaries in tech and in newly public companies are significantly higher than established non-tech businesses. Anyone care to guide me what I should ask or expect? I'm thinking of asking for $120K base but totally lost on what to ask for in terms of equity. thanks #tech #accounting #audit #internalaudit #salaries

High performers, how often do you have slack off days?
Senior IT Auditor does not make 125k ; 80-90k is industry average, if you have certifications, that help to boost your TC.
