Have to schedule an upcoming onsite with NerdWallet and they asked for a full 8 hour day. I’m a bit hesitant to give up an entire day for an onsite but they do actually seem good to work for. Anyone recently been through the onsite and got any tips for me? It’s for Senior SWE. If nothing else I want to make sure if I’m going to give up a full day for interviewing that I go in well prepared. TC: 150k, 3 YOE #nerdwallet
8 hour loop?? Wutt
is it in person or virtual
It's 2022, no one is doing in person.
I committed to consecutive 8hr remote interviews (during a Hurricane) where I presented a take home project that took 4hrs to put together. Only to be strung along on the decision while ultimately led to being ghosted.

Wow that's a lot to commit for a company like that
Yeah. I was actually pretty excited with the role after chatting with my recruiter so I’m not going to back out now… but it’s definitely a big commitment. They should at least buy me lunch or something 😉
