So Meta was my first job out of college and short lived. Back to the job hunt. But what can I realistically expect? Would I be wasting my time applying to any big-N company? What is the smartest way to prioritize applications / what companies should I be targeting (TC-wise)? TC: 185k -> 0
How long in meta
Less than 2 months lol
Probably not the best question but do you get to keep relo/ sign on?
dm for referral
This may sound really insensitive but I have to ask - Did you have to return your joining bonus or did you get to keep it?
following since iâm in the exact same position
Startups
I'm in the same position. They didn't go easy on bootcampers.
I would tell you what I would do, I would try startups, second/third line tech companies and non-tech like banks, airlines, etc. Big tech is cutting jobs and being very picky, they are hiring senior engineers and with a high bar. In my recent application at Uber for senior I nailed the technical part and the behavioral was what got me. I felt their frustration when I didnât come up with good answers. Also the fact that you were there 2 months doesnât reflect bad on you, it proves that you were laid off randomly.
DM for banks, they will love ya
