I came home today around 9 pm. There is a note on my door stating the following: "I Believe I found your pups, please call back at xxx-xxx-xxxx" I don't own a pup so I know this isn't me. And no one will post a lost pup post and only leave their address and not phone number lol. So I believe this is like a new type of scam? What are they looking for. They got my address, I guess if I call back they get my phone number and possibly my name too if I was stupid. Ps: I am contemplating calling back using a public phone and check it out. And just to obey to blind law, TC 180K
Text your SSN to the phone # they left
May be he has a pup but not yours?
Then why leave note on my door... I don't own a pet. So there is no way he saw me walking around with a dog
Wrong door?. Just call and tell you are at wrong door.
Sounds like a very expensive and labor intensive way to acquire phone numbers for scam
So you think someone really found a puppy, look at it and goes like I think I saw this one before then proceed to drive to my address and leave the note? Can't be my neighbors, everyone knows I don't have a pet
Demand proof of life
The note should have said “found your brain”. Throw the note in bin and post something more interesting. What’s your YOE, level etc? We need to discuss if TC is right for you.
Perhaps you follow orders too much. “Blind law”, random notes on door...
Tell them to let the pup speak on the phone
This ^^^
Call back from a meeting room at Microsoft. I bet that it's actually somebody trying to help return a lost dog but got the wrong address.
No reason you can’t call now from a public/blocked number. Owner may have not updated tags since they lived there before you. Maybe the phone # was also old and didn’t work so they could only use address. Maybe their gps mixed up suffix/prefix. Find out.
Just use a fake google voice number dude
I'll call back maybe in a few weeks, I'll keep the note. If I call back right away maybe they know it is me? I'll ask my neighbors about similar note tomorrow.
Seriously, 5min of your life when legit it could be an honest mistake and a dog is lost... use a GV number, who cares if they know you called? They know where you live..
