https://www.redfin.com/WA/Newcastle/8311-121st-Ave-SE-98056/home/417399 Should I pull the trigger on this home ? Been on market for several weeks. Might be able to negotiate on price. The home needs kitchen and bathroom remodeling. Biggest advantage is location and easy commute to seattle and Bellevue. TC: 450K
Newcastle went up a lot in price in the last year, like 20%+ kind of a lot. A house this small shouldn't be over $1 mil in Newcastle IMO.
This home is slated for the Renton school district. While Renton is being gentrified slowly, I think you’ll have a hard time reselling later because of it and maybe a reason why it’s on the market. In general I’m of the opinion if you can swing it and buy something do it. You’ll make money back when interest rates come down eventually and you refi.
Who cares about school if OP doesn’t have kids? It still will sell well even if it’s not BSD
How will I make money back when interest rates come down ?
Why do people usually avoid Newcastle area?
$8460/mo mortgage is absurd lol 😂
1.25 for practically Renton is outrageous
I own property in Newcastle. There are two parts. Always buy in the Issaquah School district. Huge difference in appreciation and resale. The ISD section is basically a more affordable suburb of south Bellevue. The other is basically a burb of Renton.
If it's pending it's already sold and awaiting closing
It’s not pending sorry - updated post
