Nextdoor Offer L3
Hi all, I recently got an offer for SWE L3 position at Nextdoor. Base: 175k Stock: 50k shares for 4 years Bonus: 0 TC: ~210k Any tips on how to increase this number without competing offer? I saw that the average comp for L3 in levels.fyi is 240k. I am aiming to negotiate for TC higher than that average, to account for recession/inflation. Is asking for an increase 30-40% reasonable?

They mentioned that they are confident with their cash reserve.
So did coinbase before they rescinded and layed off 20%. iirc nextdoor had Covid layoffs too

Here’s my formula. Yes, I am considering taking another interview to help, if the negotiation does not work. 175 + (50* $3 / 4yr) = 212.5
I thought it was 50k usd. Doesn't oci pay the same?
Tc is actually higher than all ic3 I know. Levels.fyi is out of sync since stock went 3x down. Those who said 240 probably had 160 base and 80 stock. If you'd like to negotiate, only ask for stock. Base is very inflexible.

Depends on your location. They use different weights to adjust the salary. You could probably get a little more if that’s their first offer. Honestly thing are kinda jacked here depending on the team. Stock has been in the dumpster.
