A recruiter reached out for a staff role. 1. What comp can I expect? 2. How is the company doing overall? 3. How is the morale? 4. What do you think is the future of Nextdoor?
Run and don’t look back
Can you please provide some specifics?
1. Maybe $350k in the current market, can be more 2. Bad, going downhill 3. Low, like all time low. This is probably the lowest in my 5 year tenure here 4. Not good There’s a post on Blind about how our CEO handling rto announcements and how that pissed off so many
Depending on how stingy they’re being, probably $300-400K. But our stock is garbage and has only gone down since I joined so expect it to depreciate further. Morale is awful, I don’t know a single person who is not actively looking to get out. There’s no clear product direction, the majority of people really hate the product (end-users, not employees), and we’re not doing anything to address it. SLT has absolutely no idea what they’re doing. People who joined in the last six months are already leaving. I would seriously run as far as you can, it’s a sinking ship here
Btw nd is having layoffs rn soo…
Today? There is no announcement it seems.
Yes today. You will hear about it at or after the earning call today
Any more news on the layoffs? This shows that SLT is struggling with ways to drive revenue. Knowing the business, the CRO hasn't hit her goals in YEARS... seems like a terrible time to join ND.
Half the c-suite and all of our product leads except one were let go. Trust and Safety / Moderation team was completely gutted.
Are you masochist?
The only good news is she Finally fired the CPO!
He drove it into the ground
I think the future of Nextdoor is horrible, the most annoying user base.
How annoying users make a company horrible fhhddr?
